1st & Zunis Cottages
Our client approached us with an existing single-family residential lot that they wanted to maximize for light multi-family use. We worked with the client to establish what the zoning permitted for the lot, as far as setbacks, parking, and allowed number of residential units.
The final design included a street-facing duplex with an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in the rear of the site, for a total of 3 rental units. The buildings were connected by a shared yard with a seating area and community garden space. Off-street parking and a bike rack were also incorporated onto the site.
